Yes, private members clubs are legal in Canada. It requires that each person entering becomes a member and agrees to and is comfortable with the member rules. After that, you’ll provide your membership number to staff when signing into the lounge and agree to continue to abide by our rules.

What Should I Wear?
One of our most common questions!
Mermaid Lounge is a dress down, clothing-optional space, so it’s entirely up to your comfort level. What does dress down mean? You can dress down to nothing at all, or slip into underwear, lingerie, swimwear, or a towel. Lockers are provided, so feel free to bring a variety of outfits and change throughout the night—our members love to mix it up.
Don’t forget your flip flops or sandals to walk around in.
If you’re planning for a weekend evening out, smart casual, sexy lingerie or clubwear are both popular choices. As access to the X Club begins at 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights. There are some fun themes, however the X Club dress code and phone policy will be enforced.
For those who love the the kink room, dressing up in your favorite fetish gear is always encouraged.
Mermaid Lounge is proudly body-positive—all shapes, sizes, and styles are welcome and celebrated.
Above all, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable, sexy, and confident. Wear (or don’t wear) whatever makes you feel amazing, and enjoy the freedom to express your individuality.
Where do I keep all my stuff?
We have a co-ed locker room and lockers are available at no charge. For our busiest events, we occasionally run out of available lockers.
Do you sell food or drinks?
Our Mermaid Cocktail Bar offers a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, along with soft drinks and non-alcoholic options. In line with Ontario liquor laws, outside drinks or alcohol are not permitted inside the lounge.
Feeling snacky? We have a small canteen at the Mermaid Bar, and you’re also welcome to order in your favourite food delivery right to the lounge.

Who You’ll Meet at Mermaid Lounge
Our members are open-minded, curious, and adventurous.
Some couples come to spice up their relationship or explore new experiences together. Solos often join us seeking a chance encounter or hoping to find a compatible ongoing play partner. Some couples identify as swingers, while others are nudists, and many simply enjoy the sensual, relaxing atmosphere without any plans to play.
At Mermaid Lounge, connections take many forms—whether it’s friendship, flirtation, or intimacy. That freedom to connect in your own way is at the heart of our community.
The average age of our members is 30–55, though everyone 21+ is welcome.

Please email us at info@mermaidlounge.com for a full list of our accessibility policies and for support person rates for the event you would like to attend. Mermaid is an inclusive facility for anyone 21+ and we hope to see you soon.
What is the policy and admission for those who identify at Transgender?
Mermaid Lounge is an inclusive facility, welcoming of all orientations and gender identities. The admission fee for trans folks is exactly the same as the admission for cis gender women. We provide the lowest and most accommodating fee because we understand that trans folks are often marginalized and need a space and supportive place to express their sexuality. While we are committed to maintaining an inclusive environment, for the comfort of all members, if the door staff perceives a Non-Binary identifying member as masculine, they may be subject to the same entry limitations as a cis man.
Staff will ask how a trans guest identifies in order to charge them the right admission fee.
No one at Mermaid Lounge either staff or member, shall refer to a trans person using transphobic words or make anti-transgender slurs.
No one at Mermaid Lounge either staff or guest, shall put a Trans member on the spot by asking for their ‘real’ name.
Staff shall ask the Trans member, “What are your preferred pronouns?” Staff shall apologize if they use the incorrect pronoun to describe/speak to someone in the trans community.
If anyone at Mermaid Lounge behaves maliciously towards a trans member, the person who behaved maliciously will be reprimanded, ejected or banned by management. Please be sure to advise staff if other members are not treating you with respect.
